Man, I'm not sure if it's due to my promotion or anything, but... I got a lot of gifts and chocolates this year. Guess it's true what they say about one's popularity going up with rank. Huh. It was a tough day on Valentine's though, as almost half the female staff didn't stick around for their full shifts (if they showed up at all). I wonder where they were all off at.

Anyway. So, um, Sachiko. What's the color of your dress/kimono going to be? Never too early to start planning and I don't want to find a suit that'll clash horribly with you.

Uh, Asuka-san. I thought I should just let you know that if you find you need any additional medical assistance than what you're receiving now, if it's not an absolute emergency, I highly recommend you make request a house call from either Rin-sensei or myself. Just...yeah.

I've had a lot of free time lately since I'm under orders to keep rested up and reserve my energy, meaning no medical jutsu or extensive training. Sometimes I've been getting a little bored, but on the plus side, I've been getting in a lot of great reading in!

There is one thing that's kept life from being dull though...

Well, we're back. Man, jounin exams are really tough! Announcements on who passed have yet to be made, but.......I...don't feel too confident about my ultimate score. I think I really messed up on the final exam...

...Heh... Well. ...That just means I've got more training to do! Maybe that's what shishou wants to see me about. More training can only make me stronger, and more ready, so I'm gonna be ready for it!

Naruko, you and I should start training together! Also, uh, do you know where Sachiko-chan and sensei are?

Huh, guess even jounin exams will still have a written test portion. They said however that it wasn't mandatory that we pass this portion, only that their scores will contribute into our overall score.

I don't get why they try to convince you they're so hard though. I mean, anyone could pass that thing if they thought hard enough and kept up their regular studies. It was totally easy! Right Leigh-san, Tentsuke?

Another test is already lined up for this afternoon. Guess they don't waste time in the jounin exams. No details on what it is yet. Gotta be ready for anything!! YOSH! Here I go!!!

Shishou has been.......really upset about something lately. His face is kinda scary right now, especially considering not too long ago he was really excited about this trip.

I wonder what's ticked him off this time.

Uh, well...this is a little late for me to announce to my friends but...

I'm off to take the jounin exams! ^^; (It was kind of a last-minute decision anyway. I barely got my papers in on time last week.) So wish me luck!

Thanks for remembering, Naruko. ^^  I probably wouldn't have remembered myself for another week if you hadn't given me something.  Shishou, Sensei, INOSUKE, what're YOUR excuses for forgetting?!?!  Sachiko-chan, I know you've probably been busy training, and it's a little troublesome to remember, so don't worry about it.  ...Not that you likely are anyway, but...


Seventeen, huh?  Wow.  Soon I'll really start feeling old.

...You know, it's BECAUSE of the short-staffing at the hospital that has me on-duty/on-call at ungodly hours of the day/night, that I will be permanently ADDICTED to coffee for the rest of my life.  I think I need to reinvent some safe yet constant injection of sorts, putting the caffine right into my blood system.

Blood pills, soldier pills...why not cofee pills?  I think I'm onto some new kind of genius here...

Hey Konoha, miss me? It's amazing what an extensive medical training will do for you. Not only do you learn a whole lot being a doctor in an under-staffed hospital sitting near the edge of the country, but when you screw up royally, at least it's not on anybody you know! Ha!

...That was a joke, by the way, shishou. Everything went fine. The gambling lord there says your debt is repaid. Next time however, I’d prefer not to be the one paying off YOUR DEBTS with my services. It’s just fortunate it worked out nicely for everyone this time. No doubt that was your "plan the whole time."
